Improving Shipment Rating for Suppliers to Automotive industry Sending an accurate ASN (Advance Shipment Notice) to automotive customers is of a prime importance for all suppliers. An incorrect or incomplete ASN results in rejection, negatively affecting the rating. The session will explain a solution developed for preventing ship confirmation of a delivery that is not fully packed into containers. ASN without container information is not acceptable and no functionality exists to stop shipping an unpacked delivery. The attendees will understand how a Forms Personalization on the ship confirms window refers a custom package which checks for required conditions and allows/prevents shipping. Partial shipment and order line splitting leveraging Oracle's GOP functionality Meeting a customer promise date is one of the most important KPIs for any organization. The solution explains how a global automotive supplier leverages the Oracle GOP functionality to have better supply/demand visibility before making a promise to a customer. A company’s dynamic supply demand environment cannot rely on a constant ship date populated on sales order lines. The solution is to have this date changed based on the realistic situation. This functionality can only provide a complete shipment quantity availability date. But what if a customer wants partial quantity availability information on the customer request date and does line splitting?
